T20 World Cup 2022: After a heart-stopping knock by Litton Das, Indian bowlers made an excellent comeback to halt Bangladesh at 145/6, to win the match by 5 runs (DLS Method). Bangladesh were at one stage cruising in the run chase but after the rain interrupted and the game was started, Indian bowlers wreaked havoc on Bangla batters.
Chasing 185 runs to win, Bangladesh got off to an excellent start as Litton Das smacked a 21-ball 50. Najmul Hossain Shanto anchored on the other end as these two added 68 runs for the first wicket. When rain interrupted, Bangladesh were at 66/0 in just 7 overs, requiring 119 runs more to win in 13 overs.
However, on the 2nd delivery after the game restarted, Litton Das was run out courtesy of a brilliant direct hit by KL Rahul from mid-field. After the rain, the target was reduced to 151 runs in 16 overs i.e. Bangladesh required 85 runs to win in 9 overs.
