Indian cricket team defeated South Africa in the 2nd T20I to build an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match T20I series, with the 3rd T20I yet to be played. However, there is a bit of bad news for the fans prior to the 3rd T20I. If one is a Virat Kohli fan and wanted the batter, who gained form recently, to perform in the 3rd T20I, then this might come as a piece of bad news for them.

Actually, the team management has decided to rest Virat Kohli for the 3rd T20I. This means that the fans would get to see Virat Kohli play directly in the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. According to reports, opener KL Rahul will also be rested along with Virat Kohli for the 3rd T20I against South Africa, which would give youngsters a chance to play.

The decision of resting both these players has come under workload management. Indian team has already sealed the series and the decision to rest these two players seems fine. The South African bowlers would also heave a sigh of relief, given the thrashing they received from Indian batters in the 2nd T20I at Guwahati.
