India vs West Indies: A complete all-round performance helped India clean sweep West Indies, who fell short by 17 runs in the 3rd T20I at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.

The visitors were asked to chase 185 runs and once again had a poor start as Deepak Chahar removed both the openers cheaply before going out of the field due to an injury.

Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell continued to play aggressively and smacked 68 runs inside the powerplay. Powell hit 25 off 14 balls with the help of two fours and two sixes.

After Powell miscued one, Kieron Pollard came in and went out quickly to finish a forgettable tour of India on an individual level. West Indies were in trouble when they lost six wickets for 100 runs in 12 overs but Pooran and Romario Shepherd kept them in the game.

Pooran scored his third consecutive fifty but got out at the start of the 18th over when West Indies still needed 37 runs. A classy death overs bowling by the Indian bowlers didn't let Windies let loose and kept them short by 17 runs to win the T20I series 3-0.

Earlier, Suryakumar Yadav and Venkatesh Iyer's 91-run partnership powered India to 184/5.

After being asked to bat first, India's new opening pair - Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan - couldn't do much damage and only added 10 runs for the first wicket. Ishan looked good and added 53 runs with Shreyas Iyer for the second wicket.

However, India lost both Ishan and Shreyas in quick succession to bring to new batters - Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar at the crease, who added 27 runs in 25 balls. Rohit had a rather off night as he only managed 7 runs in 15 balls.

After that, it was all about Suryakumar and Venkatesh. The duo smacked 91 runs in the next 37 balls to give India a strong finish after poor middle overs. Both the batters hit cracking shots all around the park to help India reach 184/5.

Suryakumar got out on the last ball after scoring 65 in 31 balls. Iyer remained not out at 35 off 19 balls.
