Day 2 of the 1st test match between India and New Zealand wasn't a memorable one for the Indian bowlers. The pitch didn't give much for the bowlers and helped Kiwi openers - Tom Latham and Will Young - to demonstrate their defensive skills.

The pitch isn't turning much but is slow and low, making the ball bounce early after getting an edge at the slips. With bowlers not getting wicket and bowl not carrying to the fielder, India decided to keep the second slip for the spinner but in a unique position.

Mayank Agarwal was asked to field in the second slip but on his knees so as to catch the ball before it bounces. Agarwal fielded in this manner for around four overs before Rahane moved him to another position.
