While Durban Super Giants started off SA20 with a defeat, they came back stronger against MI Cape Town and defeated them by 5 wickets in the 5th match of SA20. While Quinton de Kock was the top scorer with the bat against Joburg Super Kings with his knock of 78 runs in 52 balls, the other batters - Kyle Mayers (34), Wiaan Mulder (30) and Heinrich Klaasen (36*) stepped up with contributions as DSG chased down 153 against MI. 

While the bowlers were thrashed in their first match regardless of picking up wickets, they came back pretty well against MI. Reece Topley missed the first match and picked up 2 wickets in the 2nd match. Prenelan Subrayen has been a promising young spinner for DSG who has managed 2 wickets each in both of the matches. Keshav Maharaj went wicketless against MI and would be looking to get back amongst wickets. 

Paarl Royals on the other hand, were handed a defeat by MICT in their first match but went on to beat Joburg Super Kings comprehensively by 7 wickets in their 2nd SA20 match. Jos Buttler (51) and David Miller (42) contributed with the bat in the first game but the rest of the batting unit failed which forced the two batters to bat at a slower strike rate (135 and 121 respectively). Chasing 82 to win, Royals still lost three wickets and would be looking to better their batting as the tournament progresses. 

While Paarl Royals bowlers managed just 2 wickets against the MICT batting line up led by Dewald Brevis, the bowlers were exceptional against Joburg Super Kings, bowling them out for 81 runs. Bjorn Fortuin and Evan Jones picked up 3 wickets each while Ferisco Adams registered 2 wickets to his name. Lungi Ngidi and Tabraiz Shamsi also registered a wicket each to their name.
