De Kock Stars In Lucknow's 6 Wicket Win Over Delhi

Quinton de Kock hit 80 in 52 balls as Lucknow Super Giants beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets.

Quinton de Kock's half-century guided Lucknow Super Giants to a six-wicket win over Delhi Capitals in the 15th match of the IPL 2022 at Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium. 

A modest run chase became a little tricky in the end for Lucknow, but Krunal Pandya (19*) and Ayush Badoni (10*) finished the match in the last over with two balls to spare. 

It was de Kock's 80 from 52 balls that set up the run chase for LSG. He along with KL Rahul added 73 runs for the opening wicket in 58 balls as DC struggled to pick wickets. Kuldeep Yadav finally gave Delhi the breakthrough in the form of Rahul, who scored 24 in 25 balls. 

Evin Lewis got out soon against Lalit Yadav as Delhi eyed a comeback. But de Kock and Deepak Hooda's 36-run stand further closed the doors for DC. Kuldeep got de Kock out in the 16th over with LSG still needing 28 runs to win. 

The 19th over of the run-chase cost Delhi 14 runs that brought back Lucknow at the forefront of the match and despite Hooda's wicket in the last over, they managed to finish the game. 

Earlier, Prithvi Shaw gave Delhi a terrific start with his 61 in 34 balls on a pitch that didn't look to have much pace in the first inning. After Shaw's dismissal in the 8th over, DC's run rate slowed down. 

Despite Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan playing throughout the second half of the inning, DC could only finish at 149/3. Pant remained unbeaten at 39 in 36 balls while Sarfaraz Khan hit 36 from 28 balls.
