Australia v England: In the second Ashes test match being played between Australia & England, English batters were troubled a lot by the Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon. Most of the English batters looked clueless against Lyon. However, England's all-rounder Ben Stokes seemed comfortable and counterattacked against the spinner. 

Nathan Lyon was troubling the English batters at will with his spin, but Ben Stokes spent some time in the middle and read Lyon's deliveries. On the 3rd ball of 79th over, Ben Stokes got down on one knee and smacked Nathan Lyon for a six. However, even this counterattack couldn't ignite England batting performance. 

Ben Stokes scored 34 runs before being dismissed by Cameron Green. This match, however, has been special for Nathan Lyon, as he picked up 3 wickets in the first innings. He also completed 400 international test wickets in the first Ashes test match. Australia declared their first innings on 473/9.

England in reply managed only 236 runs. Dawid Malan remained the top scorer for the English team with a knock of 80 runs while captain Joe Root scored 62 runs. Mitchell Starc was the pick of the bowlers from the Australian camp, registering 4 wickets to his name.
