T20 matches and tournaments aren't only won on the field but off the field as well. A lot goes on in the background that helps the team perform on the field and win matches. 

Coaching staff builds team and help in finalizing the strategies that are needed to be implemented on the field. They help players in improving and maximising their skills. A high-quality coaching staff has a great influence on teams' win consistency. 

Let's take a look at the coaching staff of all teams for the IPL 2022: 

1) Kolkata Knight Riders 

The two-time IPL champion KKR is headed by coach Brendon McCullum. He is assisted by Abhishek Nayar and David Hussey as Assistant coach and Mentor respectively. Bharat Arun is the bowling coach of KKR and Omkar Salvi assists him. 

2) Mumbai Indians 

Mahela Jayawardene is the head coach of the five-time IPL champions MI while Zaheer Khan is the director of cricket operations. Shane Bond is the bowling coach and Robin Singh is the batting coach. 

3) Punjab Kings 

PBKS' head coach is Anil Kumble, who is also the Director of Cricket Operations of the team. Kumble has Jonty Rhodes as the assistant coach of the team. Damien Wright is the bowling coach while Julian Wood is the batting consultant of the PBKS. 

4) Royal Challengers Bangalore

RCB's Director of Cricket Operations is Mike Hesson for IPL 2022. For this season, Sanjay Bangar has been appointed as the head coach while Adam Griffith is the bowling coach. Sridharan Sriram will continue as the batting and spin coach for the RCB. 

5) Chennai Super Kings 

The four-time IPL champion CSK is headed by Stephen Fleming. Michael Hussey is the batting coach while Lakshmipathy Balaji helps in the bowling department along with Eric Simmons. 

6) Delhi Capitals 

Ricky Ponting heads the coaching department of DC while Shane Watson, Pravin Amre, and Ajit Agarkar assist him. James Hopes is the fast bowling coach of the Delhi-based franchise. 

7) Rajasthan Royals 

The IPL 2008 winners RR's coaching department is headed by Kumar Sangakkara, who is also the Director of Cricket of the team. Trevor Penney is the assistant coach while Lasith Malinga is the fast bowling coach of Rajasthan. 

8) Gujarat Titans 

The new IPL franchise Gujarat has appointed Ashish Nehra as the head coach of the team. Vikram Solanki is the Director of Cricket while Gary Kirsten is handed over the duties of batting coach and mentor. 

9) Lucknow Super Giants 

LSG has appointed Andy Flower as the head coach of the team and he will be assisted by Vijay Dahiya in the coaching setup. Gautam Gambhir is the mentor of the team. Andy Bichel looks over the bowling coach's duties. 

10) Sunrisers Hyderabad 

The IPL 2016 champions SRH has appointed Tom Moody as the head coach for IPL 2022. He is assisted by Simon Helmot. SRH has also roped in Brian Lara as the batting coach, Muttiah Muralitharan as spin bowling coach, and Dale Steyn as pace bowling coach.
