March 27 (CRICKETNMORE) - Steve Smith steps down as Rajasthan Royals captain for IPL 2018 following his open admission to the press about Australia's involvement in ball tampering during the third Test against South Africa in Cape Town.
Along with Smith, whose captaincy was taken away, David Warner was also penalised, with the International Cricket Council (ICC) taking away his vice-captaincy position as well for the game.
