Kolkata, May 8 (IANS) Pushed to a lowly seventh position with the round robin stage reaching the home stage, Delhi Daredevils skipper Jean Paul Duminy on Thursday conceded that his team was "pretty much out" of the reckoning for the Indian Premier League play-offs and would now play to salvage some pride.

Downcast after going down to title holders Kolkata Knight Riders by 13 runs at the Eden Gardens, Duminy regretted that his bowlers leaked 15-20 extra runs.

"We got three games to go in the tournament. We're pretty much out of it, but we have a lot of pride to play for," said the South African, with Delhi now sitting above only wooden spooners Kings XI Punjab in the leaderboard.

After 11 outings, Duminy's side has gleaned eight points, and have a 4-7 win-loss record.

Duminy said his bowlers were expensive in the opening and closing stages of the Knight ridersa¿ innings.

"Probably we leaked 15-20 too many, I thought we gave it a good go with the bat," said Duminy.

"We leaked too many in the first six. One stage they were looking at 180 or so. We took wickets in Athe middle, contained them. But again in the in the last five overs they got 60-odd which was too much"

The Knights scored 171/7 and then restricted Delhi to 158/6.

Asked whether he was disappointed at the team's fielding lapses, he said "Definitely. That's been the nature of our tournament. Unfortunately, we just let opportunities down.. Lot of work to do with our fielding.a
