All-Time XI: Former Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera has picked his all-time T20 XI and has surprisingly left out Sri Lankan cricketers from his team including Lasith Malinga. Perera picked four Indians, two West Indians, two South Africans, two Australians, and one Afghani in his T20 XI.
Perera, in an interview with News9, chose Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma as his opening batters, followed by Virat Kohli at number three, AB De Villiers at 4, and David Miller at number 5.
He picked MS Dhoni as his wicketkeeper and the captain of the team. In Perera's all-time XI, Dhoni will bat at number 6 while the number 7 spot is given to Rashid Khan. Sunil Narine will be the second spinner in his team, who will bat at number 8.
The three pacers in Perera's all-time XI are Jasprit Bumrah, Mitchell Starc, and Shaun Tait.
