Melbourne, Feb 22 (IANS) Batting legend V.V.S. Laxman has congratulated current India opener Shikhar Dhawan for his highest One-Day International (ODI) score of 137 runs against South Africa in the World Cup here Sunday.
"Congrats @imshikharD on a fantastic 100. Really proud of you mate. All your hard work has paid of. Keep it up. #cwc2015. We r seeing a special knock from @SDhawan25," Laxman tweeted.
Laxman also lauded Ajinkya Rahane, whose brisk innings of 79 runs off 60 deliveries helped India reach 307/7 in the Pool B game.
"While @SDhawan25 is hogging the limelight @ajinkyarahane88 quietly playing a v.imp knock. What a player.#CWC15," said the Hyderabadi.
"While I am happy with india getting 300 in the first 2 games I am more happy and impressed with the performance of the bowlers.#cwc2015," he added.
