March 10 (CRICKETNMORE) - South Africa have taken a five run lead at stumps on day three of the first Test against tNew Zealand in Dunedin on Friday. Dean Elgar (12) and Hashim Amla (23) overcame that early loss to take South Africa to stumps on 38 for one.

Earlier, New Zealand finished their on 341 thereby taking a 33-run lead. Skipper Kane Williamson scored his 16th test century before being dismissed for 130. He shared 84 runs partnership for sixth wicket with who made 50. For South Africa, Left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj recorded his maiden five-wicket haul.
