Jaipur, Dec 25 (CRICKETNMORE): Samit Gohel hit an unbeaten century as Gujarat posted 246/3 in their second innings to take the uperhand against Odisha on the third day of their Ranji Trophy quarter-final clash here on Sunday.

Gujarat now lead their opponents by 110 runs.

Gohel was unbeaten on 110 runs at stumps with Manpreet Juneja batting on 6 at the other end.

Gujarat enjoyed a superb start to their second innings with Gohel and Kirit Panchal coming up with an opening partnership of 149 runs.

Panchal fell for 81 having smashed 14 boundaries during his 291-ball stay at the crease.

Gohel was then involved in partnerships of 49 and 40 runs with Bhargav Merai and Rujul Bhatt respectively to put Gujarat on track for a big total.

Earlier, resuming at the overnight score of 184/8, Odisha lost their remaining wickets cheaply to be all out for 199 runs.

India pacer Jasprit Bumrah did the bulk of the damage with figures of 5/41.

Rush Kalaria and Hardik Patel bagged two wickets each while Bhatt got one wicket.
