In 1975 ICC World Cup, 8 teams participated which were grouped into two groups of 4 team each - Group A & Group B.

From Group A, England and New Zealand where as West Indies and Australia from Group B qualified for the semi-finals. Australia beat England by 4 wickets in the first semi-final and West Indies won the second semi-final against New Zealand by 5 wickets to enter the final of 1975 World Cup. West Indies beat Australia by 17 runs in the final at Lords to won their second title.
