The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will begin from 26th March. The BCCI announced that all the league matches will be held in Maharashtra where the 10 teams will battle it out for the IPL title. A total of 70 league matches will be played in two months.
The five time IPL champions Mumbai Indians (MI) will begin their season against Delhi Capitals on 27th March. It will also be the first double-header day of the IPL 2022.
In the new IPL format, MI are placed in the 'Group A' with Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR), Rajasthan Royals (RR), Delhi Capitals (DC), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
MI will play three matches in Pune while the rest 11 games will be played in Mumbai's two Venues - Brabourne Stadium & Wankhede Stadium.
