CT17: India vs Pakistan Match creates history

June 16, 2017: This year’s most anticipated clash between India and Pakistan in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy – the flagship cricket tournament of 2017, broke many records. The match between the two nations attracted 201 mn* viewers, becoming the highest rated ODI match in BARC history. Also, an impressive 294 mn* viewers tuned in for the first half of the tournament. 

India’s CT17 title defence against Pakistan which kick-started with the high impact and widely revered #SabseBadaMoh campaign, truly delivered what it promised. The highly anticipated match between two nations is rated 2x more than the last edition of ICC Champions Trophy 2013. 

A Star India spokesperson said, “ICC Champions Trophy 2017 has been an impressive event in terms of scale, reach and following; and the India-Pakistan match set a new viewership record on our network making it the highest rated ODI match in BARC history.”

In a double treat for fans, India and Pakistan will once again clash in the high-octane finals to bag the coveted title. Action starts on the Star Sports network on Sunday, June 18, 2017, 1:30 PM IST onwards.
