Wellington, March 22 (IANS) With the buzz around the World Cup semi-finals, the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday came up with an unique opportunity for fans and astute collectors across the world to bid for an official piece of memento from the mega event being co-hosted by Australia and New Zealand.

These include match-used coins from each of the 49 games. Each coin has the date of the match inscribed on it. In a first, the official scorecard is also available for auction for each match.

A match-used ball from each of the four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and the final has also been put up for auction.

ICC’s memorabilia and collectables licencee released a similar programme for the 2011 World Cup.

Fans can bid at www.icc-shop.com for the items.
