Delhi Capitals will begin the season missing quite a few key players. The onus will be on Rishabh Pant and Prithvi Shaw to carry the batting order. Rovman Powell could be the game-changer at the backend of the innings.
A lot will depend on Anrich Nortje's availability. If he plays, DC will have an all-phase bowler but if he doesn't, Delhi's bowling lineup will be fragile. Shardul Thakur will be the player to watch out for.
Some new faces will be seen in the MI batting lineup. With Suryakumar Yadav now available for the first game, Tilak Verma is likely to play at number three followed by Dewald Brevis. Tim David will be the player to watch out for Mumbai.
Jasprit Bumrah will be the leader of the pack. Daniel Sams is likely to play ahead of Tymal Mills, at least for this match. Murugan Ashwin will handle the spin duties. Toss-up will be there between Jaydev Unadkat and Basil Thampi for the third pacer.
