Sydney, Feb 5 (IANS) Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques is confident of filling in the big boots of injured James Faulkner and be his replacement if the latter does not recover from his injury in time for the World Cup.

“I definitely believe I could (fill Faulkner’s void). Bowl through the middle overs and bat down the order,” Henriques was quoted as saying by news.com.au Thursday.

The 28-year-old, however, wished speedy recovery to injured Faulkner saying, “It’s never nice to go in on someone else’s unfortunate events, I hope James gets up and he’s ready to go,” he said.

Henriques added that comparing him with Faulkner would be unfair as both are different players.

“But I do think I’m a different player to James as well. Jame’s performed extremely well for Australia and I’m yet to do that at ODI level,” he added.
