Stand-in captain Smriti Mandhana smashed her maiden T20I century, while debutant left-arm spinner N Shree Charani bagged 4 for 12, as India crushed England by 97 runs in the opening T20I on Saturday.

Mandhana’s blazing 112 – now the highest individual score by an Indian in Women's T20Is – helped India post a commanding 210/5, surpassing Harmanpreet Kaur’s previous best of 103. England crumbled in response, bowled out for just 113 in 14.5 overs. Charani starred with the ball, while Deepti Sharma (2/32) and Radha Yadav (2/15) provided key support as India registered their biggest-ever T20I win over England.
