South African wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen has announced his retirement from international cricket at the age of 32. Klaasen had previously retired from Test cricket in January 2024, citing his preference for red-ball cricket but acknowledging the need for new challenges.

Over his international career, Klaasen played 4 Tests, 60 ODIs, and 58 T20Is for South Africa. He was particularly known for his explosive batting in limited-overs formats, with a standout performance of 174 runs off 83 balls against Australia in an ODI in September 2023
