    T20 World Cup: South Africa won the toss and chose to bowl first against New Zealand in the final of the 2024 Women’s T20 World Cup at the Dubai International Stadium here on Sunday. A new name will be carved onto the T20 Women’s World Cup trophy as the Proteas and White Ferns are on the hunt for their maiden triumph in the tournament.

    "It has worked pretty well for us," said the South Africa captain on her decision to bowl first.

    New Zealand skipper Sophie Devine said she wanted to have a bat anyway. "We just want to put runs on the board for the final. It's a bit more important. Such an awesome opportunity to be able to play today."
