The Ashes: 'I Have Called It A Field For TV': Gavaskar Slams England's Umbrella Fielding In Ashes Opener

Ashes 2023: Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has slammed England's umbrella fielding tactics against Australia's opener Usman Khawaja during the first Ashes Test, and referred to it as 'a field for TV', suggesting that such a defensive fielding strategy may not lead to breakthroughs.

Gavaskar's remark comes days after England lost the first Ashes Test by two wickets in a thriller at Edgbaston, trailing 0-1 in the five-match series.
