Pant Retires Hurt After Painful Blow to Right Foot, Taken Off Field at Old Trafford
India's wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been taken for scans from the Old Trafford Stadium after he was hit on his right foot while batting on Day 1 of the fourth Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series in Manchester on Wednesday. The medical team of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is monitoring his progress, the board has informed in a statement released on social media.
"Rishabh Pant was hit on his right foot while batting on Day 1 of the Manchester Test. He was taken for scans from the stadium. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring his progress," the BCCI said in a post on X.
