Steve Smith is a character. He is probably Australia's best modern day batter, or even the world's but he's still a distracted kid from the inside. He loves batting and piling on runs, especially in test cricket.
He isn't a traditional batter. Smith moves all the time - doing things with his hands, feet, head, and bat. But his eyes are always on the ball. Smith loves batting so much that even a mild distraction will make him irritated. He doesn't want to get out due to some movement his 360 degree peripheral movement caught.
