    UEFA Champions League: Record holders of the UEFA Champions League, Real Madrid, begin their 2025/26 campaign against Marseille on Wednesday (IST). Given the rich history of the club, head coach Xabi Alonso is even more motivated.

    Having taken over the reins from Carlo Ancelotti this season, Alonso has big boots to fill, as the club is synonymous with European success.

    "We face it with the maximum enthusiasm of playing the Champions League with Real Madrid.
