Navarro, Pegula Set Up First All-American US Open QF Since 2015
American US Open QF: American Emma Navarro is through to the 2026 US Open quarterfinals after eliminating Anna Kalinskaya, 6-4, 6-2, in fourth-round action on Sunday night inside Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Navarro, seeded No. 25, advanced to her fourth Grand Slam quarterfinal as she is eyeing to replicate her 2024 semifinal run at Flushing Meadows, her best showing at a major.
With the first set under her belt, Navarro looked more confident as she jumped to a 5-1 lead in the second. Although Kalinskaya, who had won both of their previous meetings, pulled one break back, it was not enough. Navarro broke again in the eighth game to wrap up the 6-4, 6-2 victory in 1 hour, 21 minutes.
