ESFI Welcomes IOC’s Decision To Host Inaugural Olympic Esports Games In Saudi Arabia
Olympic Esports Games: The Esports Federation of India (ESFI) on Friday welcomed the decision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to partner with the National Olympic Committee of Saudi Arabia to host the inaugural Olympic Esports Games in the country in 2025.
On Friday, the IOC followed up on its previous announcement that the IOC Executive Board has laid down the groundwork for a standalone multi-national event, the Olympic Esports Games, by confirming that a proposal will be floored in the upcoming IOC session on the eve of the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
The IOC will reveal the venue, specific timings, titles to be included, and the qualification process in due course.
