FIFA U15 World Cup: The inaugural FIFA U15 World Cup & Festival in Azerbaijan has given India’s young footballers a platform to test themselves against teams from across the world.
Played in an 8v8 format with two 20-minute halves, the festival is designed around development and exposure rather than the conventional 90-minute game.
India have so far played five matches in Group K and two in the tournament phase. The Blue Colts began with wins over Laos and Cameroon, drew with Grenada, beat Bahrain and then lost to Senegal. They finished third in Group K before moving into Tier C of the tournament phase.
