Taiwan Ladies Professional Golf Association: Fresh from a second successive top-four finish at the Women’s Indian Open, India’s Pranavi Urs will look to carry her encouraging form into the $1.2 million Wistron Ladies Open, which begins at Sunrise Golf and Country Club in Taoyuan, Chinese Taipei, on Thursday.
Pranavi, the only Indian in the 108-player field, arrives in Chinese Taipei after another strong showing at the DLF Golf and Country Club in Gurugram, where she finished tied fourth at three-under 285. The result followed her historic individual gold medal at the Asian Games in Japan and further underlined her growing stature on the international circuit.
The 23-year-old will be up against an experienced field in the 72-hole event, co-sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the Taiwan Ladies Professional Golf Association (TLPGA).
