World Shooting Para Sport World: The National Rifle Association of India (NRAI) on Thursday congratulated Akhil Sheoran, Dhanush Srikanth and Rudransh Khandelwal, who have been recognised with the Arjuna Award across shooting disciplines, and Neha Nandkumar Chavan, who has been conferred the Dronacharya Award, as part of the National Sports Awards 2025.
The Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports announced the National Sports Awards on August 18, recognising outstanding performances and contributions to Indian sport. Akhil Sheoran has been selected for the Arjuna Award, while Dhanush Srikanth and Rudransh Khandelwal have also been recognised for their achievements in Deaf Shooting and Para-Shooting, respectively. Neha Nandkumar Chavan has been honoured with the Dronacharya Award.
Akhil, one of India’s leading rifle shooters, has been a consistent presence in the national setup in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event. He is currently part of the NRAI’s 2026 National Squad and has continued to make his mark at the national level, including finishing first in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event at Selection Trial 3 earlier this year.
