Para Athletics World Championship: Nishad Kumar won a silver and Preethi Pal claimed a bronze medal as Indian participants excelled on the third day of competitions at the 2024 Para Athletics World Championship here on Sunday. Nishad Kumar set the ball rolling for India by clinching a silver medal in the Men's High Jump T47 final with an impressive season-best mark of 1.99 metres.
Preethi Pal then added to the tally by winning a bronze medal in the Women's 200m T35 category, bringing India's tally to two medals after Day 3 of competitions.
On Monday, India will be expecting another medal as Deepthi Jeevanji has qualified for the final of the Women's 400m T20, setting a new Asian Record with a time of 56.18 seconds in the heats on Sunday.
