Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio: Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio on Friday said that the state government has put in place a long-term strategy to transform sports in the state by developing world-class infrastructure and providing athletes with high-quality training to help them excel at the national and international levels.
Inaugurating 16 sports infrastructure projects under the Youth Resources and Sports Department, the Chief Minister said the government's vision is to develop sports infrastructure on par with the best in the country and provide sportspersons with world-class training, enabling them to bring glory to both Nagaland and the nation.
He said the inauguration marked much more than the opening of new infrastructure, as it symbolised the creation of fresh opportunities for the youth and sportspersons across the state.
