Great Barrier Reef Arena: Several Australian players have made significant gains in the latest ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings, following the conclusion of their three-match series against South Africa.
Despite Australia falling to a 2-1 series defeat on home soil, the reigning ODI World Cup champions were rewarded for their dominant performance in the final game at the Great Barrier Reef Arena in Mackay, where they posted a mammoth 431/2.
Centuries from Travis Head (142), Mitch Marsh (100) and Cameron Green (118 not out) propelled the side to a record total and has now triggered the trio’s upward movement in the batting rankings.
