Aston Villa FC: Aston Villa have completed the signing of Argentina international Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea on a season-long loan deal, with the move set to become permanent next summer if certain criteria are met.

The 22-year-old winger joins Unai Emery's side after spending one season at Chelsea, where he scored eight goals in 43 appearances during the 2025/26 campaign following his move from Manchester United.

Villa confirmed Garnacho's arrival on Thursday, describing him as a versatile attacker capable of operating on either wing or through the middle. The club also highlighted his experience at both club and international level, having earned eight caps for Argentina.

Garnacho came through Manchester United's youth academy before making 144 senior appearances for the Old Trafford club. He moved to Chelsea in the summer of 2025 and featured regularly during his debut season at Stamford Bridge.

The Argentine was also the recipient of the 2024 FIFA Puskás Award for his spectacular acrobatic volley against Everton.

Villa manager Unai Emery welcomed the signing and believes Garnacho's quality and ambition will strengthen the squad ahead of the new season.

"We are delighted with Alejandro. He is so talented, young, and he showed us his wish to help our project. We are really happy," Emery said.

Chelsea confirmed that Garnacho's move is a season-long loan with an obligation for the transfer to become permanent next summer should agreed conditions be met.

The London club thanked the winger for his contribution during his lone season in blue and wished him well for the next chapter of his career.
