1) AB De Villiers: 

During a match against West Indies in 2015, South Africa's AB de Villiers smashed the fastest 50 in ODIs in just 16 balls. He went on to score 149 in just 44 balls to power his team to 439/2. De Villiers' inning included nine fours and 16 sixes.

2) Sanath Jayasuriya: 

In 1996, Sri Lankan opener Sanath Jayasuriya scored fifty in 17 balls against Pakistan. His 76-run knock included five sixes and eight fours. 

3) Kusul Perera: 

Sri Lanka opener Kusul Perera, during an ODI match against Pakistan, smashed fifty in 17 balls. Perera hit 13 fours and two sixes during his 68-run knock. 

4) Martin Guptill: 

New Zealand's hard-hitting opener Martin Guptill smashed a fifty in 17 balls during his knock of unbeaten 93 runs against Sri Lanka in 2015. Guptill's inning included eight sixes and nine fours. 

5) Simon O'Donnell:

Australia's Simon O'Donnell smashed Sri Lankan bowlers all around the park to reach his fifty in just 18 balls in 1990. Simon hit 74 with the help of four sixes and six fours.
