Jemimah Rodrigues, who celebrates her birthday on 5th September, is one of the top upcoming women cricketers in the world. Rodrigues is well known for her hard-hitting abilities.

1) Jemimah Rodrigues was born and brought up in Bhandup along with her elder brothers Enoch and Eli. They moved to Bandra to access better sporting facilities. 

2) Jemimah's father, Ivan Rodrigues, was her coach as well. He used to coach girls in the same school as her daughter and also at an academy. Ivan started the girls' cricket team at the school, and in the first year, they managed to get into the finals. 

3) The youngster is not only skilled in cricket but also at hockey as well. She represented Maharashtra in under 17s. She thought of pursuing the national sport of India but got escalated towards cricket more. 

4) Jemimah caught grabbed eyeballs when she became the second woman batter to score a double century after Smriti Mandhana. She scored 202 not out in 163 balls against Saurashtra in Aurangabad in 2017. 

5) Jemimah Rodrigues made her T20I debut against South Africa in South Africa in 2018. Her father was also present when she received her cap. 

6) Rodrigues missed her 12th board exams since she got picked for her maiden India tour in South Africa.
