LSG vs RCB IPL 2022 - Royal Challengers Bangalore registered a 14 run win against Lucknow Super Giants to enter the Qualifier 2 of IPL 2022.
Chasing a target of 208, LSG lost opener Quinton de Kock (6) in the first over. However, opener and captain KL Rahul palyed a responsible knock of 79 runs in 58 deliveries.
Deepak Hooda also played a good knock of 45 runs in 26 deliveries but was dismissed in the 15th over before causing more damage. KL Rahul looked dangerous during his stay but with his dismissal in the 19th over by Hazlewood, all hopes ended for LSG.
For RCB, Josh Hazlewood picked up 3 wickets while Mohammad Siraj, Wanindu Hasaranga and Harshal Patel picked up 1 wicket each. With this win, RCB will now face Rajasthan Royals in the 2nd Qualifier on Friday (MAy 27th) while the tournament has ended for Lucknow Super Giants.
In the first innings, Rajat Patidar scored his maiden ton while DK played a thunderous knock to power Royal Challengers Bangalore to 207/4 against Lucknow Super Giants.
Rajat Patidar became the first uncapped player to smack a ton in IPL Playoffs, smashing an unbeaten 112 runs in 54 deliveries including 12 fours & 7 sixes at an impeccable strike rate of 207.
RCB's prominent finisher this season, Dinesh Karthik played an unbeaten knock of 37 runs in 23 balls with 5 fours & a six, etching an unbroken partnership of 92 runs in 41 deliveries for the 5th wicket with Rajat Patidar.
For LSG, Mohsin Khan, Krunal Pandya, Avesh Khan & Ravi Bishnoi picked up 1 wicket each.
Earlier, LSG captain KL Rahul won the toss & opted to bowl first against RCB in the Eliminator match of IPL 2022. This match was played at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
