England Dismissed For 280 In Second New Zealand Test

England were all out for 280 on day one of the second Test against New Zealand in Wellington on Friday, with their score built around a century from Harry Brook.

Brook top-scored with 123 after the tourists were asked to bat on a green Basin Reserve pitch.

He put on a partnership of 174 for the fifth wicket with Ollie Pope, rescuing an England innings which was teetering at 43-4.

Nathan Smith took 4-86 and executed the run-out of Brook, while fellow New Zealand seamer Will O'Rourke claimed 3-49.

England lead the three-match series 1-0 after winning the first Test in Christchurch by eight wickets.
