ENG v IND, 1st Test: Day 5 Called Off, Match Ends In A Draw

Excessive rains meant the umpires had no choice but to call off day 5 and the England vs India, 1st Test ends in a draw. 

India needed 157 runs on the final day with nine wickets in hand after they bowled out England for 303 in the 2nd inning. The hosts had taken a 208-run lead by then. 

Joe Root struck a century in the 2nd inning while Jasprit Bumrah took the sixth five-wicket haul of his Test career. Bumrah ended up with the match figures of 9/110.
