Zimbabwe put up an impressive performance in the 1st ODI as they chased down a mammoth total and finally registered a win against Bangladesh in ODIs, after losing 19 consecutive ODIs against the same opposition. Innocent Kaia (110) and all-rounder Sikandar Raza (135*) were the heros with the bat as these two smacked tons to help Zimbabwe break the losing streak against Bangladesh.
However, the bowling was disappointing as the bowlers conceded 303 runs in 50 overs while picking up only two wickets. Victor Nyauchi and Sikandar Raza were the sole wicket-takers for the Zimbabwe team.
Bangladesh batting performed exceptionally well as the top 4 batters - Tamim Iqbal (62), Liton Das (81), Anamul Haque & Mushfiqur Rahim (52*) smacked fifties to take the total across 300. Bangla batting looks formidable enough to help the team level the series in the 2nd ODI.

For Bangladesh, Mustafizur Rahman, Shoriful Islam, Mehidy Hasan and Mosaddek Hossain picked up 1 wicket each.
