Mumbai, Dec 4 (IANS) Five members of India's 2011 World Cup-winning team - Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Zaheer Khan, Harbhajan Singh and Gautam Gambhir - were Thursday left out of the 30-member squad of probables for the 2015 One-Day International (ODI) World Cup.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)'s All-India Senior Selection Committee met here and preferred current form over past performance, which worked against all the five players omitted. The World Cup is to be held from Feb 14 to March 29 in Australia and New Zealand.
The famous quintet, backbone of the Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Indian team in 2011, havn't played international cricket for more than a year now and it was expected that they won't find a place in the list, with the selectors sticking to the present bunch of players.
