Royal Challengers Bangalore(RCB) has named replacement of Australian opener Josh Phillippe, who took back his name from playing IPL 2021 due to personal reasons. New Zealand's Finn Allen has been picked in place of Phillippe due to his registered base price being 20 Lakhs, the same as that of the Australian.
Allen is one of the finest upcoming emerging talents in New Zealand. The 21-year old got recently picked in the New Zealand squad for the T20 series against Australia as a cover for Martin Guptill. Allen is widely regarded for his power-hitting in the limited-overs format.
He had an incredible domestic T20 season recently where he smashed 512 runs at a strike of 194 in 11 innings while opening the batting including a 16-ball 50 against Stags.
