What Makes Rohit Sharma A Successful T20 Captain? Shreyas Iyer Answers

Rohit Sharma has been inducted as India's new T20I captain and has led the team to an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the ongoing three-match series against New Zealand. It's not the first time Rohit has led India and is already the most successful IPL captain with five Titles with Mumbai Indians. 

India's next-gen player Shreyas Iyer is now becoming a regular in India's limited-overs squad and has already led Delhi Capitals for more than two seasons. 

While talking to Star Sports, Iyer revealed what makes Rohit a successful captain in the T20 format. 

"So I have spoken to Rohit Sharma when I was leading Delhi Capitals, I wanted to get inputs on why he's been a successful captain in T20 so far. He said I back my instincts," Iyer said. 

"Whatever first thought he gets in his mind, he backs it even though he gets inputs from other players but he trusts himself and backs himself, which was a really important thing for me to learn," the 26-year-old added.
