WI VS NZ Match Preview:

Most of the West Indian players have been playing professional cricket for a few months now, unlike the Kiwis. Many of them participated in the Caribbean Premier League and Indian Premier League in the last three months. It suggests that Windies players will be fresher, especially in the T20 format. 

The new vice-captain of WI, Nicholas Pooran, has had a good IPL 2020, which will give him some confidence ahead of the series. Kieron Pollard, too, had a good run with Mumbai Indians playing the finisher role. Shimron Hetmyer and Sheldon Cottrell also had a few decent outings. 

The Kiwi players have played a bit of first-class cricket before the series, but they still haven't played a high-intensity game after the lockdown. James Neesham and Mitchell Santner participated in the CPL as well as IPL but looked rusty. Lockie Ferguson played a few good games for Kolkata Knight Riders as well. 

New Zealand skipper Tim Southee has recently recovered from an injury and hasn't had much match practice. With no Trent Boult in the T20 Squad, the bowling is likely to look rusty, especially in the first game. 

The Kiwis have generally been a dominating team against West Indies in T20Is, but in the current situation, the visitors are looking slight favorites.
