Indian all-rounder Washington Sundar made his debut in the County Championship on Tuesday (July 19th) for the Lancashire team. This match is being played between Lancashire and Northamptonshire, in which the Indian spinner wreaked havoc with his spin. During Northamptonshire's first inning, Sundar picked up a 5-fer, courtesy of which Lancashire restricted the opposition to 235 runs in the first innings. 

Washington Sundar has made a dream debut in the county championship. Against Northamptonshire, Washington Sundar attained his maiden wicket on the second delivery he bowled. After striking with a wicket, there was no looking back for Washington Sundar and one by one, picked up 5 wickets and brought the opposition down to their knees. 

In this match, Washington Sundar grabbed his first wicket in the form of opposition captain Will Young, who was dismissed after scoring mere 2 runs. After this, Sundar destroyed Northamptonshire's middle-order batting. The Indian all-rounder got rid of Ryan Rickleton (22), Rob Keogh (54), Tom Taylor (1) & Lewis McManus (61) and halted Northamptonshire before they can attain a huge first innings total. With this, Washington Sundar had a dream debut with a 5-wicket haul.

It is also noteworthy that recently Washington Sundar recently revealed that even while playing on his PlayStation, he used to choose Lancashire as his team. And now, representing the same team in real life for the first time, Washington Sundar displayed excellent performance. Sundar was suffering from a finger injury in recent times and was ruled out of India's tour of England in 2021 due to the same reason. However, the all-rounder seems fit at the moment and may make his comeback to the Indian team.
