RCB vs RR IPL 2022: Former Royal Challengers Bangalore & Indian captain Virat Kohli has been in a 'slump' in this IPL after the first match, and the energy and remorse for two consecutive golden ducks, was seen on the player's face in the match against Rajasthan Royals. However, he displayed top-notch fitness in the field as he grabbed a stunner against Rajasthan Royals.

After Rajasthan Royals were off to a disastrous start, the scoreboard read 110/6 in 17 overs. IPL 2021's Purple Cap winner and the joint highest wicket-taker in an IPL season ever, Harshal Patel came on to bowl the 18th over. Trent Boult was on strike for the Rajasthan Royals, with Riyan Parag on the other end. 

Harshal bowled the first delivery on length, angling into the batter. Boult tried to heave the ball but managed inside half of the bat. The ball was dispatched furiously as the bat turned on impact. Kohli, positioned at short mid-wicket dived to his left and took an absolute stunner. Trent Boult had to walk back to the pavilion after scoring 5 runs in 7 balls as Rajasthan Royals lost their 7th wicket. 

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis won the toss & opted to bowl first against Rajasthan Royals in the 39th match of IPL 2022. After RR's top order slumped against the RCB bowling attack, Riyan Parag finished excellently with an unbeaten 56 runs in 31 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. For RCB, Mohammad Siraj, Josh Hazlewood and Wanindu Hasaranga picked up 2 wickets each while Harshal Patel managed 1 wicket. This match is being played at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune.
