Jayawickrama was injured in the 7th over of the 2nd Indian innings, but still came back to the field after the session ended and even managed to remain as the best Lankan bowler. In the 34th over, the spinner dismissed Hanuma Vihari (35). After this, the left-arm spinner dismissed former Indian captain Virat Kohli on the 4th delivery of the 36th over and then, dismissed Rishabh Pant in the 42nd over after the Indian keeper-batter smacked a fifty in 28 balls.
It is noteworthy that Jayawickrama was successful in the first innings as well as he dismissed 3 Indian batters with the pink ball, and has again picked up 3 out of 5 Indian wickets.
