LSG vs RCB IPL 2022 - 36-year old cricketer-turned-commentator-turned-cricketer Dinesh Karthik has been a massive relief for Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2022. DK was handed the role of a proper finisher in this season by RCB management, and the batter hasn't disappointed. Karthik yet again proved his worth as he smacked a good finishing knock against Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL 2022 Eliminator.

Dinesh Karthik came out to bat in the 14th over when Mahipal Lomror (14) was dismissed by Ravi Bishnoi on the first bowl of the over. It was an interesting move since DK has been known to be uncomfortable against leg-spinners and Shahbaz Ahmed was waiting in the dugout to bat.

The RCB finisher had his troubles in the 14th over against Ravi Bishnoi. However, Rajat Patidar on the other end was on fire and in the next over by Bishnoi, which was the spinner's last over of the game, took charge and dealt in boundaries & sixes throughout the over.

Karthik was also dropped in the 15th over by KL Rahul on Mohsin Khan's bowling. After Bishnoi's quota of 4 overs were completed in the 16th over, DK immediately took on LSG pacer Avesh Khan in the next over (17th), and smacked three consecutive fours in the over.

In the 19th over, DK partnered with Patidar to smack a six & a four each against Dushmantha Chameera. Karthik smacked another four in the last over by Avesh Khan to bring up 200 for RCB in the 20th over.

In the end, Dinesh Karthik remained unbeaten on 37 runs in 23 deliveries with 5 fours & a six to his name. The finisher held the crease with Rajat Patidar (112*), adding 92 runs in 41 deliveries for the 5th wicket, taking RCB to a total of 207/4 in 20 overs.
